Day 3: Lemon Juice experiment

So, a little update on the lemon juice treatment I've been experimenting on my porous and acne prone skin. There appears to be less bumps on my chin, and minimal breakout of 1-2 pimples in this 3 day progress. Although the little bumps on my forehead are still there, they do appear slightly flatter..Maybe it is all psychological!

Stay tuned for more lemon juice update :)

The nail colour I am wearing today is elephantastic pink by O.P.I

Life goes easy on me

And so it is
Just like you said it would be
Life goes easy on me
Most of the time
And so it is
The shorter story
No love, no glory
No hero in her skies

Feeling blah this evening for no particular reason, I believe it is part of being a girl. You may think it is irrational or unreasonable, but I seriously can't give you an answer that I don't even know myself. Being in a slump sucks.

Hello Lemon

So today I don't work till 1pm, which is kinda nice, gives me the daylight to do some chores and fun things! So I did laundry this morning, and I plan to paint my nails while watching the new episode of True Blood! Perhaps a pampering shower before lunch! There's just so much you can do on a Monday morning! After work I will be meeting up with the girls to look at some Victoria Secret stuff for an online purchase! Hello Bikini. Even though Bikini season is almost over...but nevertheless we plan to take a road trip down to California! Perhaps I can wear my bikini there...!

Speaking of lemons, my t-zone has been bothering me since late May. Mysterious bumps everywhere on my forehead and breakouts like a greasy 16 year old boy! It's hard to pin point the cause, but I suspect them to be one of the following:
  • Stree

  • Greasy food?

  • Change in climate/weather

  • Cosmetic product misuse

  • Stupid fingers touching my face

  • Karma

  • So, I've been trying to find a way to restore my skin back to its glory days. My recent endeavor involves lemon juice! It's suppose to work like a chemical peel. Let the lemon be an astringent, and kill the bacteria! Lemon also help bleach the existing scar/spots. So we will see if this lemon juice really works. Day 1, no signs of improvement!

    Recap: Date night

So today was our supposed Mall Date. We went to Metrotown, had some sushi for dinner, then did a little bit of shopping! I got an awesome sweater jacket and some nail polish! Still in search of that perfect maxidress! Our plans to watch a movie at metro was destroyed when we saw the massive crowd and line up. We decided to never watch a movie at metro..! Strawberry hill is where it's at! Played some street fighter and bought gummy candy to chew on! I am very excited about my nail polish..I realize the last 3 colours I've bought, are what you say....almost identical!! haha. But Tien was nice enough and allowed me to purchase such similar shades :) I am spoiled!

Feet are tired from walking so much...best go back to Zara to buy those pink heels before the disappear off the shelf...

    Creative outlet

I am dying inside. The creativity that used to flourish, now wilted. It's time to find that balance again, and revive the mind.

    Vacation withdrawal

So, being home sure feels funny. We had too much fun in Vegas. Everything is so boring and mundane now. In order to counter this feeling of emptiness and hopelessness, I decided to do some at-home-vacation-activities. I am going to venture into Walmart tomorrow and buy myself a cheap and sassy bikini :)

Walmart is great for items that I'll probably wear once or twice and the price is right without feeling guilty for splurging! Hopefully this vacation withdrawal will go away as I make sexy purchases! mwuahahah. I like stuff!

Anywho, weather has been amazing in Vancouver, I shall make use of it by going outdoors and breathing the air. The next two weeks will be busy for me, then August I will be free as a birdie, who works monday to friday :)

    Good night friends.

    Vegas 2010

    Day 1

We rode WestJet and arrived in 40 degree Vegas weather! Off to the new city center hotel Vdara! I like this hotel because it is non-gaming and non-smoking. It was very quiet and serene, good relaxing environment. If you are looking for some excitement and gambling, Aria and Bellagio is right next door! Our first meal was these huge delicious sandwiches from the Bellagio cafe! In the evening we watched some intense matches at the EVO 2010 Street Fighter 4 semi-finals. I enjoyed it more than I'd thought I would! Gamerbee is awesome.

    Day 2

Today is a day dedicated to shopping! First we had the most amazing waffles and breakfast from Paris hotel's Mon ami gabi.

After breakfast we headed back to the hotel and watched Spain take the World Cup! Tien placed a bet on Spain and won! Paul the psychic does not lie!!! Off to the Premium outlet! Tien got a few good deals on sweaters and work clothes, where as I had trouble shopping with the over crowded racks of goodies. The heat was so unbearable, and yet I wore a cardigan this whole time. People must think I am crazy. Headed over to Miracle Miles and did more shopping! This time I bought something from Sephora and H & M. Success. We saw a show at Bellagio, O by Cirque du soleil. It was pretty cool with the water and acrobats! Diving was by far my favourite part. I still liked the Beatles Love show by cirque du soleil better! Their music shall never die!

    Day 3

Had lunch at the Canal Shop in Venetian. Good portion and cool atmosphere, it's like eating outdoors!

After lunch we headed over to Madame Tussauds' wax museum. It wasn't that great but it was good at killing time. Too bad there was no Leonardo DiCaprio wax figure. Here's me and Michael rocking the dance floor.

After the short tour of wax museum, we went to the fashion mall across from Wynn, of course I bought some stuff! I was very happy with my purchase today. For dinner we went to Fiamma in MGM and ordered 3 dishes for dinner. Two of which is a luscious truffle infused gnocchi. So tasty that we ordered a second one to kill the craving! TASTY. Love this restaurant, been here three times already! Then we were off to see David Copperfield. Our first magic show ever! We didn't know what to expect! It was great and very entertaining, David Copperfield is a funny man! There was a lot of audience participation and overall very mindblowing! I was one of the lucky people to go on stage for the final act and disappeared from the stage! Yay for free autographed photo of David :)

    Day 4

It is sad to be leaving Vegas, but we'll be back next year to see Celine Dion. I know we go to Vegas too often, ahahah. So we had some time to kill, ate breakfast and decided to finally to gamble our last $20! Turns out, gambling is fun and I won some money :) Then we headed for the airport and it was devastating. A short flight back to YVR then breathing this fresh air! We used the new automatic self-served custom machine. Very cool! And guess who I saw? Sunil! He's a border guy! Very intimidating with his uniform. I guess that concludes the trip. Bye Vegas, till next time.

    The art of mango pudding

So it's been a while since I last posted a blog entry. I was too devastated by the fall of my macbook, though fear not, it has been revived. Although it seems that it did not recover 100%. I guess it is getting old. All my data have been lost on an inaccessible harddrive. I will find some computer geek to help me!

So over the weekend I went to Castle fun park with a bunch of people! For those of you don't know, castle fun park is located in Abbotsford. It consist of 3 mini golf courses, go-cart, bumper cars, indoor driving range, batting cage, indoor soccer, shooting range, and an arcade! I loved the mini golf, although I sucked in the begging. Also batting cage was awesome. Some stuff were pretty lame, but the kids seem to enjoy it! It was a happy Canada day for everyone!

So back to my original topic, mango pudding. We went for dimsum again today, and if you like mango pudding, then you're in for a treat. First when you sit down, order the mango pudding off the bat. Then let it sit at room temperature and marinate in the milk. After you are done eating dimsum, it will already been 30 minutes, the mango pudding is now soft and velvety, it will blow your mind. Note that this trick will only work with the pudding in a cup/bowl, for those that come in a mold shape, I don't think it will have the same effect! Anywho, bought some hand soap at Bath & Body Works today, and found a nice long dress I like from the Gap. Hoping to purchase it when I am in the U S of A next week! YAY!
