run time!

The weather is finally getting warm and sunny enough to run! I went for a mini
jog/run/powerwalk today! First time back in a long time...Feeling out of shape, but no worries, tomorrow I will bounce right back into my routine! Let's do this! I shall reward myself very soon with some reetone running shoes :)

Been feeling kind of stressed out and frustrated lately, I hope exercise will be the answer, since it seems like exercise is the answer to everything these days. Being active will do me some good, take time off the stressful things. Healthy body, healthy mind! Here we go!

Reetones

You may seen these advertisement recently, either on TV or in your magazines. These are the new creations of Reebok. Shoes that have mini exercising balls on the soles to provide extra workout for your thigh, calf, and bum! The shoes are meant to increase muscle activity in areas that are hard to target with just simple light exercises. So expect to tone up your lower body with these awesome shoes! This is said to be the most expensive advertising campaign of any sportswear manufacture! Target audience of female 40 years old and under. Seems like the campaign is working...as I make my way to the nearest sportchek and try some on. I already tried on its flip flop sandal version, but expects the sneaker version to be more useful. Wait until I get my feet on these babies, I will soon have a toned ass!

Game 5

Today I woke up early, so I thought I'd indulge in a bit of a morning blogging! Tonight game 5 starts. I am excited and feeling a little timid. Hopefully we win this one and game 6, so my heart can take a break. This playoff excitement isn't good for those with highblood pressure or heart related diseases. I am also looking at some road trip ideas. Expedia is my best friend. Hopefully things don't get too busy around June/July and we'll be able to take a trip! Ahhh, freedom is invaluable, but so is intuition.

Gone floaters, be gone.

Vitrectomy is gross

but is more effective than a Laser Vitreolysis in getting rid of floaters.

sigh.. my floaters are totally bothering me these days.

Eyjafjallajokull is angry.

A volcano beneath Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull (ay-yah-FYAH'-plah-yer-kuh-duhl) glacier began to erupt on Wednesday, now is affecting more than 4,000 flight cancellations to/from European cities. Officials are afraid that the ashes will get trapped in airplane engines and cause them to shut down. It is predicted that more flights will be cancel for Friday, up to 6,000. Many passengers are upset, but who'd risk such danger to fly over ash plumes...Crazy people.

Some experts say this flying volcanic debris and possible air travel disruptions could take up to 6 months to clear. For those traveling to Europe this summer, best of luck that your flight can reroute from Asian hub ports. Air travel has not been this chaotic since WWII and post September 11. This is insane. Time to get cozy at the terminal, hope you brought some deodorant.

One expert says, "Volcanoes are unpredictable." - No kidding.

I can't sleep

I am having trouble falling asleep tonight, so I've been chatting up a couple of people. As the hour gets later, I am getting increasingly hungrier. As I get hungrier, my senses have started to hallucinate drastically. I am beginning to smell instant noodles, though there are no noodles around.... I believe I am going crazy?

On a side note, I saw a bus rammed into the Newton Wave pool on Sunday. It was bizarre! How does a bus lose control and ram into the building on the opposite lane? Crazy! Here a link to a photo someone took, because I forgot to use my phone!

http://www.bclocalnews.com/news/90626449.html

Luckily, no one was on the bus except the drive. The female driver sustained a broken leg from the crash, and no one at the pool was injured. Though the building itself suffered quite the damage. Transit officials are still trying to figure out why the experienced driver crashed into the building. Perhaps...there's much more to the story!
That is my WTF story from the weekend! I think I will start some WTF stories!

Curls with flat iron

So I've finally learned how to curl my hair with a flat iron! Though I didn't do all my curls in this photo here! It is so easy! Hope you like my curls, because I do!

Villa Verdi

Villa Verdi is an Italian Restaurant in Surrey, King George Blvd and 80 Ave. It is in a shady part of Surrey, where many prostitutes walk them streets. Also, no one really expects great food in Surrey, with the exception of authentic Indian food. So we were feeling adventurous, ahead we went. Turns out it was quite good! Quite a bit of hungry crowd, with live music on Friday and Saturday nights! The piano man played some classic favourites! I enjoyed the hospitality and the food was good too! I think I will be back again soon! It is always nice to find new gems in Surrey, so we don't have to trek so far to get some decent bites! And Charice is awesome.

Looks like someone's home, doesn't it? :)

Early Bird gets...

They say that the early bird gets the worm, but I say, the early bird gets two breakfasts! So I woke up rather early today, to hear hail/snow banging on my rooftop. April weather is so unpredictable! It was freezing today and blasting with 90kmh winds..I swear it was so cold. Anyway. I had a strong yet strange craving for instant noodles last night, so I figured I'll eat it for breakfast. Here I am up at 7am, eating my miso flavour instant noodles, while watching America's next top model. This is what early birds do. After my consumption of such unhealthy meal, I instantly felt sick, yet filled with such pleasure to eat junk first thing in the morning! Off to work I go, and bam, starbucks craving kicks in. A cup of hazelnut latte half sweet with a side of croissant! Today was good. I hope to repeat this 2 breakfast, or even make it a habitual thing :)

Happily ever after

What does it mean to be live happily ever after? I thought about that. Perhaps it is learning the key to happiness. Learning to be content and be always optimistic. Once we possess such ability, we're sure to live happily ever after. But for now, it wouldn't hurt to live in a castle with prince charming.

Take me dancing in a ballgown.

Desk acquired :)

So it took the longest time to put together a desk bought from Office Depot. I swore never to buy self-assemble furniture from anywhere except ikea. These designs are simply ridiculous! Many parts were after thoughts, and definitely not made for 1 person labour.

Despite the hardship, the desk is now working and function more than just storage! It actually looks pretty nifty too. My next step is to paint my bed frame the same dark cherry brown colour, then it's onto the walls. Check out this photo I am using as reference for my wall colour idea.

This is chocolate froth from Berh! I stumbled upon this website the other day, and I've been reading it for style inspirations! Check it out Making it lovely

Anyone up for paint & lamp shopping :)?

An arm and a leg

If I had a giant salary...they'd go to clothes and shoes. These are investments I tell you. I don't want to be a shopoholic, but I am a girl. I can't help but buy these pretty fabrics!

BCBGENERATION SHIRT-TAIL PRINTED DRESS @ The bay $125

BCBGENERATION PRINTED RUFFLE DRESS @ The Bay $140

ohh... I really should buy a desk instead of these dresses. Working in a mall has done me no good.
