A day for Olympic adventures!

Here we are in rainy Vancouver, to catch all the hype of the winter olympic games!
I got all dressed up in my Olympic attire!



First off we started downtown walked around aimlessly, saw some weird art video in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery, bypassed the ice rink of Robson Square, saw people try to get you to donate money for their worthless acts of "magic" & "juggling" etc. Then we went to see the Flame! It is glorious, minus the rain. Then we had a relatively good food court food at Flaming Wok! Off to the Olympic line we go.

Granville island had a lot of children events going on. We ate some tarts at the market. Most of the houses and special olympic events were jammed packed with people, so we decided not to go. It was also hard to contemplate for the giant line up into the Bay Olympic superstore, but everything we were looking for was sold out. Overall it was a good adventure. That evening we saw shutter island, which could have been better, but nevertheless Leonardo di Caprio is the greatest. Had dinner at Anastasia on 72nd Ave, which turned out to be a pretty good restaurant! What a bold choice of dinner!

Found: Tiny Pineapple

Look, I found a tiny pineapple and just had to take a photo with it.
-8 in Edmonton with no sign of snow so far. I ventured into The Bay today, only to find a small woman's sweater not the cotton type. Also found a girl size 14 navy Team Canada sweater..... I want RED or BLACK or WHITE. I guess I could have tried on the navy...but again! We walked around downtown with my sexy red mittens. I think the people were envious, as it is completely sold out here! My head hurts a little bit, not sure if it was from the loud festivities in the mall of chinese new year, or from the cold wind. Perhaps it's from a deprivation of quality sleep. Look at these cute children in them outfits! I want one too!

I Come to Canada!

HELLO. I come in peace! I'm playing my fair share of tacky tourist. This is just part one. I shall be a full blown tourist in the days to come. Go downtown pretend to not speak english and ask people for directions! I am still in search of a Team Canada sweater....WISH ME LUCK. I tried on a girl size 10/12 today, it was unfortunately a tad too small. Damn those skinny children. As I wait in the airport, I am seeing an awful lot of red!!!! Everyone is in the spirit of the Olympics. For those who aren't, you're missing out on life!!! Hot Chocolate is yum. Bye

Off to a cold adventure

Hello all! I am off to Edmonton for a couple of days for work exhibition. Hopefully it's not too cold. But I've got my red mittens and hat and scarf. I shall be Warm as can be...

Happy Chinese new year! Happy Valentine's day! Happy Gold winning day!

Wow, quite the day for all them events! Feeling extra festive with the olympics going on, the love is in the air, and the tiger is finally here. First of all, I would like to wish everyone a great Tiger year, this shall be the year I roar! Wishing the people I care and love a healthy year, and may all your wishes come true. Second, I would like to say to the man in my life, thank you for being so awesome and I love you. And lastly, to all the Canadians, WOOOHOO. I am so proud to be a Canadian, British Columbia is the best place on earth. We shall conquer more games, win more medals and be the best athletes we can be! CHEER !!!


Oh, victory is so sweet. What a glorious moment in Olympic history for Canada.

Has officially begun! We have not yet received a gold medal, but tonight 7pm women's freestyle skiing should be promising! OMG Will Canada win it's first gold tonight on Canadian soil?! WE SHALL BE WATCH AS WE WOW THE WORLD.

What it means to be in a Chinese Dress

I just ordered some contacts, so you will soon see my eyes! Made an appointment today to give blood for Friday :) Going shopping/girly talk with yna tomorrow at richmond center. I hope to purchase an Olympic tshirt tomorrow, to wear on Friday while I watch the opening ceremonies. Friday will be busy! As I give blood in the morning, I shall come home, prepare my mac & cheese, then off to potluck! It's chinese new year this weekend, and I was scouting the town for a hot red chinese dress. I had no luck finding a reasonable priced one that fitted me. So, I might need to go to Asia and get one custom made! We will see, as I venture into Parker Place tomorrow :) Wish me luck on becoming Chinese! I really want a Chinese dress :(

Ikea makes me wannna renovate

I've been talking about painting the room, redecorating, for the longest time....Never seem to put things into action. I want to paint my bed dark brown, the walls a light beige gray, and get a new desk/drawer thingy. I hope this will be the year I actually do something about this....

Western Vs. Eastern

So, some of you may know, I've been suffering from multiple acute syndromes. And apparently no one knows why things inside of me are inflamed. I've done a million tests, can't seem to pin point the cause of my symptoms. Western Doctors claim "this just happens sometimes, we don't know..."

It was time I turn to my trusted Eastern Medicine! Visited my favourite acupuncturist yesterday. She took my pulse and bam. She can clearly state my every symptom. Amazing. So now I will be visiting her on a regular basis to get my body back in sync. Hopefully it will cure me of my stupid inflammations all over! Body needs to calm down. Calm. :)

Truffle Butter

I am about to add extreme flavour to my life! YES. I found truffle butter in whole foods market today! I love whole foods. I wish there was one near my house. So I can go everyday and eat their awesome selection of pastry/dessert goods. I forgot to buy my veggie chips today, as I was on my detox, and I'm not suppose to look at junk food. Nonetheless, I will go back and buy my chips. I can't wait until this 12 day detox is over, so I can indulge in the world's finest fungus! Truffle oil has been acquired, also butternut squash. I look forward to my butternut squash ravioli infused with truffle oil. YES OH GOOD FOOD IS CALLING MY NAME. MY NAME.
