Tomorrow is sunday! Sunday is the best days ever! Time for dimsum and some retail therapy! Weather is increasingly getting warmer, hello spring!

I am loving genmaicha

I've never been a big fan of tea, I am more of a coffee person. But recently, due to personal health reasons, I've cut back drastically on coffee consumption. Tea on the other hand, has less caffeine and it has antioxidants! I am currently loving genmaicha, which is essentially, brown rice tea. It is a Japanese tea that combines green tea with roasted brown rice. I love the faint green tea smell (some times oolong tea is too pungent for me) and the roasty taste of rice! This is originally poor man's tea, since the rice is used as a filler to reduce price of rice, but I love it!!!! Y'all should try some. They are commonly found in asian supermarkets, such as T & T, or you can visit David's Tea for their overpriced tealeaves :)

PS. it is sometimes referred to as the popcorn tea, since some of the brown rice pops like popcorn during the roasting process :)

Today was a stay in day. These days I don't feel like going out, since I don't know what to do...and the world is so restless. I would like a red bicycle though.



Despite my lack of cycling skills, it would be nice to ride on a sunny day, along the riverside, with spring breeze blowing through my oh so long hair. Wouldn't that be nice? Perhaps an ice cream cone after the tough riding!

My thoughts are with Japan, and the people affected by this massive earthquake. This is terrible, tragic, news to hear on Friday evening. It has been really difficult to watch, and disheartening. Not much we can do, but pray and offer our financial donations.

I love the smell of...

Yes, I love the smell of windex. Also some other house cleaning agent. Being a tad of a clean freak, at times, the smell of sterile products brings me comfort. I often find myself inhaling large breaths while cleaning the windows, walking past a freshly mopped area, and in the laundry room. If you watch TLC, you will notice a show called "my strange addictions" where odd addictions are taking over people's lives. A few episodes featured people who were addicted to eating household cleaners, and soap. I hope I do not become those crazy ladies! I do, however, enjoy smelling windex...it smells real good. I wonder if I am addicted. hahaha. I cleaned some windows today :)

I made dinner again tonight! Today I attempt sweet and sour tofu and baked asparagus! They were easy dishes and really delicious!





Also, office depot in Surrey is closing its doors! I went and got some good deals. Introducing my new agenda! Nice and small to fit inside my purse. I love agendas, they make me feel important and useful :)
